A new term for Council and Councillors
Things that I want to work with my fellow councillors to achieve during this term – one of the most important is to protect and add to our open green space as well as encouraging its use.
Adding to and protecting North Sydney’s open green space.
Sydney Harbour HighLine
Transfer the rail corridor between Waverton and Lavender Bay from the State Government to the “care and control” of council.

Wendy’s “secret” Garden
Transfer of the title to Garden from the State Government to the “care and control” of council.
Revamp trust deed (established by State Government and North Sydney Council) to qualify for tax exempt status.

Bradfield Park
The protection of Bradfield Park (north and central) from location of infrastructure and the restoration of Bradfield Park south
Cammeray Park
Push back on the State Government’s moves to take sections for its freeway and tunnels
Berrys Bay
The transfer of the land on the western foreshore of Berrys Bay from the State Government to the “care and control” of council.
Waverton Bowling Club
The transfer of the title from the State Government site to the “care and control” of council
McMahons Point
Restore ground being vacated by the Metro
Integrate 1 Henry Lawson Avenue into parkland (with demolition of existing structure).
Milsons Point
The transfer of Harry’s Park, Northcliff Park and lot 12 (all overlooking Luna Park) to the “care and control” of Council.
Protecting Neighbourhood Parks (identified in North Sydney Council’s Plan of Management for Neighbourhood Parks

North Sydney Council lease from TAHE a viaduct arch and open it up for pedestrians passing between Lavender Bay and Quiberee and Watt Parks
Kayaks
Western foreshore of Berrys Bay
- Dedicate a section of the foreshore for launching/landing kayaks
- Establish land based and pontoon facilities for storage kayaks
Lavender Bay
Lease from TAHE a viaduct arch for storage of kayaks
Establish pontoon facility for storage kayaks
Platypus
- Establish a pontoon for launching/landing kayaks and a land-based storage facility
- Establish a “harbour” swimming enclosure
- Establish over harbor walkway between Platypus and Kesterton Park
